Lauched 2023, the Arts Institute for Creative Advancement (AICA) is an “Earn While You Learn” workforce development program in technical theatre for young adults ages 18-25 who have encountered significant obstacles to a career path. 

Apprentices receive 700 hours of paid training and work, earning $18.40/hr. for every hour learning in the classroom or working at a theater. The AICA provides intensive education, hands-on training, and direct work experience in lighting, carpentry, audio engineering, stage management, and more, preparing them for lasting careers as technical theatre professionals.
