Life Pieces to Masterpieces
Life Pieces To Masterpieces (LPTM) is a youth development and mentoring organization that develops character and leadership, unlocks innate potential, and prepares Black boys and young men to transform their lives and communities through the power of creative expression. Over 25 years, LPTM has evolved from an after school arts engagement activity for seven boys to a comprehensive nonprofit organization recognized as a leading model for the development of Black boys and young men living in marginalized communities. LPTM is the first arts-based program in the nation dedicated to the development of Black males from early childhood through young adulthood. More than 90% of LPTM youth feel good about their future, while for a full decade 100% of seniors have graduated high school. LPTM gentlemen have created more than 1,500 artistic masterpieces in a unique signature style, displayed in such venues as Children's National Medical Center, The World Bank, NBC's Today Show, the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry, and the DC Mayor's Office.
